Steps For HTML Based Reports in QTP

Dear Reader,

There are so many methods or ways to report results after successful execution of our Scripts in QTP Like Report manager.

And some times it is very useful to create a single html document to report our results

Here is how can customize to get what we are seeking :

Step#1 : navigate as follows start ->Run->cmd->regedit
there it iwll display registry files to edit.Suggest you take a back up of original files while editing any data in regisrty ( it is a good practice always to restore back of original data in case of failures to updates, or intentionally to return to original status)

Step#2 : Now Navigate to--> HKLM->SOFTWARE->MercuryInteractive->QuickTest
Professional->Logger->Media->Log

Search for "Active" Item under that log key and change the value of it to 1 (by default it is 0)

Step #3: Restart QTP and enjoy the results reporting in single HTML Document.

Well!!! we have made a step ahead in reporting to higer managers.
